The characters are so wonderfully written and I love all the side characters too. I found this danmei easy to read compared to others I’ve tried reading. My issue with danmeis has always been trying to keep up with characters but after the first few pages I got the gist of everyone down. Also the pacing of this book is chefs kiss and I really loved seeing Xiao Chiye fall more and more for Shen Zechuan. Only thing I wish is for their smut scene to have been longer but overall a very well written book that is super fun to read!!
