I’ll be thinking about Saint and Patch for a long time. The pacing in this book was a bit uneven The beginning felt like a heart pounding thriller, then it mellowed into a slow literary mystery, and ended with another burst of intensity that kept me turning pages until late at night. I found the amount of grief and tragedy to be overwhelming at a few points—this is one I would probably save for when you’re in a good place mentally and/or plan for a palate cleanser after. I’ll be indulging in a rom-com next for sure. Despite some of its flaws, I found the characters super compelling, and the ending with all of its reveals was beyond satisfying.
