I know this is a classic (hence my reading it), but it wasn’t a pleasure to read. The subject matter is incredibly interesting, but the stylized writing was circuitous and frequently all-around unpleasant. I know it was ground-breaking, but it just wasn’t what I wanted it to be. Something about its essence irked me, and it’s worth looking at tigger warnings before diving in.
