A Place for Us is a beautiful portrait of a Muslim, Indian-American family's struggle for belonging amongst themselves and their society. Mirza does a great job exploring and developing each character's perspectives, and the writing is atmospheric and immersive. While a slow burn, it's a compelling and enrapturing read.
