doramar 's review for:
Uniform Justice
by Donna Leon
Great to read Donna Leon on top form! This had all the elements of a good Brunetti novel: following him in his daily life as he tries to solve an intriguing case, we get to enjoy lunches with him, listen in on his conversations with his wife and family, and enjoy the city of Venice.
I guess some people might find it too slow, but for Brunetti fans that's part of the charm. So is the lack of resolution at the end - I would have SO liked it to end differently, but Leon believes in reflecting the reality of Italian justice!
