Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton

4.0

This novel was exceptional. Based around children and teacher at a school under siege by terrorist gunmen, this story charts their quest for survival.

There were a few twists and turns in this novel - some expected and some not. I enjoyed the characterisation and the humanity of the children in the face of something as inhuman as a school shooting.

My heart bled for the students and parents as it becomes obvious who is carrying out the atrocities and why.

The only reason this gets 4.5 stars rather than the full 5 is because I would have liked to know who the third gunman was and unfortunately this wasnt revealed.
