This book was such a beautiful look behind the curtain into Ms. Tina’s life. At times it reminded me of sitting around the kitchen table or the living room with my grandmas and listening to family stories. It also made me appreciate all the music Solange, Beyoncé, DC, and Kelly made. Listening to Ms. Tina learn about taking care of herself and exploring her relationship with her own mother was a welcome reflection and reminder that mother-daughter relationships are difficult and so important. I’m excited to dig more into the fashion and outfits she designed and learn more about the philanthropy she’s doing too.
