Between Heaven and the Real World: My Story by Ken Abraham, Steven Curtis Chapman

5.0

Loved it!

I have followed SCC since I was a freshman in high school in 1991 thanks to a teacher introducing me to him. I have always respected his honesty & transparency. This book gave an even deeper view into his life & career. It was/is refreshing to see a known public, Christian figure admit his shortcomings, failures, questioning God, heartbreak, & struggles yet his pursuing of God- fully believing there was/is no other choice but to trust God even if we can't SEE what the whole story is.

The last few chapters were just amazing. The insight of healing, loving others well, taking one step at a time through grief, & how God poured grace upon him & his family just amazed me. I knew parts of the story, but how God showed Himself throughout the journey after losing Maria & letting him SEE & hear God is various moments is beyond mind-blowing.

Still thinking through it all & will definitely be a book I read again!
