4.5 stars.

It's nice to read a book from an original Bennett POV and Gavin is just an adorable tsundere. I really like the romance - I've liked all the romances in this series - but as this was the last book, I would have wanted to see them together just a bit more. There will be no next book where they'll be seen as an established couple.

I kind of got bored with Livingstone in the third book and while he wasn't overly annoying here, I couldn't completely get back on board with the epic saga. At this point there were some things that felt a bit repetitive and not just in a good call back or intentional vicious circle kind of way. I enjoyed the book and it was a good conclusion, but really barely a 4 star worth, Carter and Gavin push this up to 4.5. Even with a great score it is a slight let down because I honestly thought the first two books were extremely gripping with their plots.
