The Lives of Christopher Chant by Diana Wynne Jones

4.0

I just devoured this one. Very satisfying. Halfway through it I was wondering where did Chrestomanci's incredible savoir faire came from, then the author made sure the reader understood that Christopher is really too young to be anything and, truly, no Chrestomanci is complete before accepting his destiny (like Pichus, all of them). Okay then, he became more intense as he grew up, I'll buy it.
