Raven Black by Ann Cleeves
5.0
The narrative in this book was so subtle; it swelled from the first page and kept inflating gradually until the final pages when it reached capacity. It didn’t explode in an earth-shattering climax, but it was full and showed that fullness with confidence in a way that let the reader know that this is exactly how the story has been the whole time, we just couldn’t see the whole thing yet.
All that said, I thought that the ITV show portrayed the story better in the details.
