An enjoyable read, but this fell very short of the first novel for me. What I loved so much about the first one was getting to know the children and everything about Marsyas. Which this book had minus the novelty. I was much more intrigued at the beginning when Arthur was giving his testimony, and I initially assumed this book would be more political than its world-building predecessor, but it still tackled the same plot just with a twist.
