Personally, I loved this book.

I know most people wont agree, but my opinion remains solid.

Throughout the series, i've struggled to relate to Zoey's boy-troubled side. Anything to do with multiple 'loves' is something I don't agree with, however, I see in Zoey, throughout these books, that she's just trying to find herself. She's discovering so many things for the first time, while having the typical teenage thoughts go through her head and battling evil at the same time. I don't relate to the way she talks, but i've got friends on the other side of the country that talk differently to me, it doesn't mean we judge each other for it.

I also think that having two writers is another reason for the multiple 'loves'. Each writer is going to have their favourite and fight for them to 'win', it's just a case of which wins out in the end.

I love the way these books are written. It's not that they're written perfectly, because they're not, they're far from being a Bronte or an Austen novel, but they're written in such a way that you're actually experiencing the characters thoughts for yourself, as if you're actually inside their heads, and that is what I love. It's more true to the human mind than most books, and I think that it's a brave way to write a book.

I do think that the Neferet story-line has over-run a little, but at the same time, so do most villains stories. Clearly PC & Kristen Cast are getting ready to wind this series up with the last two books on the way and i think they'll have a big story line coming up for that.

Over-all i've given this book four stars. In reality, i'd give three and a half. I didn't really enjoy the cliff hanger ending (but thats only because i'm itching to find out what happens next) and the fight was very short and not as detailed as i would've expected. Other than that, I did love this book and I'm excited for the next.
