Fighting for What's His by Laura Kaye

4.0

Billy is ex ranger who carries physical and emotional scars. Now a private investigator Billy pushes himself to make it through the day. Billy battles himself mentally and takes out his aggression through Warrior Fight Club.
Offering a place to crash for his best buddy’s sister stirs things in Bill head and body that was unexpected and uncontrollable.

Shayna is a talented photographer who has landed herself a fabulous new job with a reputable newspaper. Roomie to neat freak can be a bit flustering but being a roomie to a brooding hottie, well that certainly make up for it, right!

Billy knows she off limits but attraction and chemistry have a way. Shayna keeps her emotional self at distance. The attraction they feel draws them together like magnets. They have explosive chemistry but the emotional suffering they both have but don’t share keep any kind of commitment at an arm length. The passion come easy but getting out of one's head is easier said than done. As the story unfolds, Shayna and Billy break through their respective mental barriers and allow each other in.

I loved Billy and Shayna story. Some many people have event in their lives that put mental blocks up when it comes to love and intimacy. Fighting for What’s His was a bit of an emotional roller coaster that gave the reader lots of feel. Emotional and sexy, my favorite kind of read.
