Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
4.0

I went in pretty much completely blind with this book, knowing only that it might have romantic elements based on the title. In the end, I found it to be a thought-provoking story that, for the most part, had characters that acted in a realistic fashion.

Though at times the plot can drag a bit and the conclusion is anything but unexpected, what's included here feels raw and real, something a lot of books can't capture.

Though I think Me Before You's "message" is meant to be a little ambiguous, I can't help but feel that a certain opinion was pushed a little harder than intended. This dampens the experience a bit, but ultimately it doesn't feel too heavy-handed to ruin the experience by any means.

Though, I have to say: why the hate on runners? Sure, they can sometimes be a little overboard, but their commitment to improving their health is something that should be a good character trait, not a bad one.
