I found the book read like one long panic attack with a lot of time jumps, spiralling and determination in the characters to catastrophize.
Also, while I get the ending was supposed to be very romantic, if I turned up to a wedding at least six months in the making to find the couple decided at the very last second that getting married wasn't for them, I'd be taking bets on their break up.
Not only is it a colossal waste of money, time and emotional investment for everyone involved, it suggests a horrendous lack of communication in the couple's relationship.
