The Alpha Experiment by Eliot Grayson

3.0

I gotta admit. This book wasn't my favorite of the series. I am not saying I disliked it, but I do think this book would have been better with a dual POV. Colin was the character we met before in previous books dealing with the evil Kimball Pack, yet we NEVER get his POV. The entire book is written in Newton's and to be honest sometimes he was just so whiney and I needed a break from his head. I also really would have liked being in Colin's mind for some of his more aggressive alpha moments. Nothings hotter than a possessive alpha wolf staking his claim on his mate. * fans self *

The book did not fall short on the steam. There was plenty of it and plenty of knotting to go around without it being too sex heavy. Though Colin and Newt have been best friends forever, they really sucked at communicating with words. There was not a lot of romance either, just a lot of Newton explaining away his body's reactions to his bestie. I would have liked to have read more of them actually being a couple or navigating being an Alpha mate since Colin is now the pack leader of the Kimball pack. It felt like a missed opportunity for the author to explore.

I'm still waiting for a Dor book, so I will be watching for the next book in the series.
