Larsen Belle is a reserved psychiatrist in a busy hospital. Between her introvert personality and demanding career, there’s not much room in her life for fun so when her best friend convinces her to take a chance, Larsen agrees. She probably should have started out slow, maybe flirting but Larsen knows what she wants and she goes for it. And “it” is approaching the smoking hot new security guard at work to propose a no-strings attached hookup.

Dane can’t believe his luck because a relationship is one thing he’s never wanted and the most beautiful woman he’s ever laid eyes on just proposed this. She’s a dream come true. These two hit it off immediately and mesh perfectly from the start. Things seem a bit mushy at times for people who aren’t open to a relationship, especially because the Belle and Beast nicknames are established so early on but it works.

These two manage to be both adorable and scorching hot, which is no small feat. They’ve both been hurt by people they love so trust and attachment don’t come easily, but they both realize that the only potential obstacle to happiness is themselves and they’re willing to fix that. It’s fun watching Larsen come out of her shell and find herself outside of the hospital and Dane is everything. Hot, protective and loving, he makes an effort to plan fun dates and force her to relax while they try new things together, but he also has an incredibly dirty, very bossy mouth, so he’s the whole package. I loved Dane and Larsen’s story, I couldn’t get enough.
