The Name of the Wind
by Patrick Rothfuss
DID NOT FINISH: 50%
I hate it so much. I truly honestly couldn't care any less about this world and at the same time, it stressed me out how much child brutality was put so forward. Like its impressive how it manages to convey constant negative emotions and come as bland and shallow in the positive characteristic of the world and the characters.
It came as to how people are such profound assholes and it feels a tragic tale of misery. The descriptions were fine but nothing charming mind you. Nor for all its posturing, the character came especially intelligent or witty.
It was, in the end, a chore. I forced me to continue reading because I wanted to see where all the hype was about and, once again, I feel dissapointed.
