This book is incredible. A total feast for the eyes and the creative mind! If you're interested in learning about creativity from someone who lives and breathes the work, you need to pick this up!
The majority of this book is tactical exercises to help develop stories, and they're hilarious and deep and brilliant. They make creating infinitely more accessible. It would be super fun to do these exercises with kids, because they enthusiastically invite our inner child to play!
I'm not a comic book artist, but I'm excited to take these ideas, concepts, and exercises with me into my own creative endeavors in other mediums.
I'm also very excited to read more from Linda Barry. I put tabs on nearly every page of this book with ideas and quotes I want to remember!
