Smartly written and phenomenally accessible book that lays out in plain English how data has become the great predictor of society, sometimes for better but mostly for worse in large part to the opacity and secrecy surrounding the algorithms that are all around us.

From ratings to escores to personality tests and many more, ONeil peels back the curtain on all of it. This is definitely required reading for any data nerd or even the average person who cares deeply about their freedom and privacy.
