hmmmmm…. Whenever i read books written by Japanese authors I face the same issue - the writing sounds overly plain in mechanical, in a way that doesn’t suit the depth of the story being told (something I imagine happens due to translation). That definetly keeps me from giving the book a higher rating.

Still, this is definetly an interesting read. Very brutal, graphic descriptions that keep you hooked in a sort of hypnotised horror. Kept me intrigued all the way through, and the philosophical turn it took in the end tied together the absurdity of the plot as a whole. Left me with tons to thing about that’s for sure - how at the end of the day, Momose and Kojima were both promoting the same ideology: Nothing matters because everything matters.
