A Brief History of Everyone Who Ever Lived: The Stories in Our Genes
by Adam Rutherford
I was a bit disappointed by this. It has a weird and disjointed structure that means it jumps around a lot in a slightly confusing way. Each of the individual sections is really clear and interesting, and Rutherford's wicked sense of humour is on full display, but as a whole it doesn't flow very well.
