4.5. This book took a long time with its 620 pages, but was worth it in the end. Some might think that one sentence that takes pages to complete is unnecessary, but the stream of consciousness passages made it more engaging for me. This is in contrast to a book I'm reading with 3 page chapters which is annoying because every time you get a picture of what's happening, the story shifts and you have to reacquaint yourself.
