*wipes tears off cheeks*
I can't write a review that does this book justice. It's a love song to life, to hope, and to how story — mythos — ties us together and helps us navigate it all.
Five wanderers, past, present, and future, each facing tragic loss, the terrifying future, and deep longing for the security of a home that was never secure to begin with discover a story that holds them together in more ways than one.
I was afraid the multiple storylines would be too confusing but this book is a technical masterpiece. I did have to focus to read it because every line was packed with meaning and it is written with a masterful command of vocabulary and emotion and pacing and human nature.
I'll stop now because I could just keep telling you how good it is, or you could go buy a copy and start reading it.
