This was great, as usual, from Tal Bauer. I think this author can do wrong and I'm working my way through all of their books. This is an MM hockey romance, and I thought it was so well written and was both heartfelt and agonizing at the same time. There's always a happy ending in this author's books and this is no exception, but the plot was really different and I loved that it wasn't dark and more lighthearted. The characters did have some struggles with their sexuality, but I thought this was handled well and made sense for the direction of the story. My only comment on this book (and the reason for the star deduction) is that there was a LOT of French being spoken, which is fine but I don't really speak it and I had to constantly Google translate a lot of it to find out what was being said because the author (and the character with their monologue) didn't really explain. Also, a lot of French was just randomly mixed in with English and I know that was kind of off putting for me and others. Other than that, this was a great book and I highly recommend!
