Knocking off one star off the rating on account of the ending. The fact that one jackass got to inherit the other jackass's empire while the woman who did all the work gets jack all in return? Especially when he should understand the circumstances the poor girl grew up in? Ugh. I suppose it's to show that crime doesn't pay, but it was immensely unsatisfactory.
I had been greatly enjoying this on account of the resemblance to Victoria Helen Stone's magnificent Jane Doe. I'd loved the commentary, the Grace's blithe apprach to the people who had spurned her. It was all so good, up until that shitty ending.
