Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry
4.0
This is one of those books that grew on me the more and more I read it.
McMurtry tells a great story with wonderful characters.
I truly disliked Gus, but by the middle of the book he became my favorite character. Call is still shrouded in mystery, but I really enjoyed his dedication to his comrades.
I look forward to delving into the rest of this series as I'm genuinely invested in the characters and stories I met here.
For others, be prepared for the long read. If you enjoy western tales I would say this should be on your list. There's a wonderful world here if you're willing to explore it.
