For whatever reason I decided that finishing this book in public was a good idea. (Probably because I couldn’t wait to get home).
This would result in me sitting in a classroom with my eyes straight ahead chanting “Don’t Cry Don’t Cry Don’t Cry.” Over and over again.

When I got home and I actually did end up crying and sobbing my eyes out. Amelie Wen Zhao’s prose is gorgeous and I am definitely putting this on the top of my list of my favorite Xianxia novels.

I waited MONTHS for this book to initially release and when I got it, I was terrified it wouldn’t live up to my love for the first book. But then it did and more and now I can’t stop crying.
