1Q84 by Haruki Murakami

Did not finish book.

I could not handle how he treated the women in the novel, be it the pedophilic overtones, the predatory lesbian trope, or just the logic the characters occupied as "women". A shame - I was invested in the dream cult.

(Review at time: great idea, had to quit bc of repetitious objectifying misogyny (imo - Tengo's infatuation with Fuka-Eri did NOT seem like it was going to a good place))
