This volume was really reflective and introspective, so it felt like there wasn't a lot of new stuff that really happened-- just a lot of discovery and thinking. Not a bad thing, just made it feel like this one wasn't super eventful. Definitely a case of the MC mentally preparing themselves for the final battle to come.

Shuuya runs into the main part of the lighthouse to discover that the girls are all dead... except Yuko, who runs from him. He chases her to the top of the lighthouse, and saves her from falling, only for her to jump to her death moments later. We also get some backstory on her and her family. Shuuya then sets off and soon runs into Mizuho. She tries to shoot him but he escapes. Shuuya thinks about all of the deaths that have gotten him to this point, before discovering the area where Mim and other friends died. Shuuya mourns his lost friend and discovers their plan to try and bomb the school. After words of encouragement from the Mim in his head, Shuuya sets off again and meets back up with Noriko and Kawada. Meanwhile, Mizuho is killed by Kiriyama.
