4.5- This book was really good, but I felt like the ending was a bit rushed. Regardless, this book showcased phenomenal writing and nuanced emotional themes; it made me cry and laugh and feel butterflies until I thought I’d forget how to breathe. Also, the representation in this book made me lose my mind (in the best way- LGBTQIA+ AND polycystic ovary syndrome/PCOS?!)
I’ve never encountered PCOS in any of the YA novels I’ve read before, or honestly any novel I’ve read before, and as someone who struggles with PCOS, it was honestly such an incredible experience to see that related here, in a place I’d never thought to look for it. I’m thankful for this book, and I hope everyone reads it!
