Van Nostrand's Scientific Encyclopedia, 3 Volume Set by Glenn D. Considine

5.0

I've been trying to afford this bugger for years. Bought the eighth edition, only volume 2 arrived. Bought this edition, only volume 3 arrived.

The good news is that as a reference work, one can determine the quality from volume 3 alone, and it is *seriously* good at being what it is: A starting point for process, and a reference point. Some of the feel of the 1976 Britanica in some places style-wise, and that's a good thing.
