I liked that this book switches between past and present as Brooke tries to remember details from the night she was almost murdered by her boyfriend. The reason I did not give this book 4 stars is because the characters were not very likable. The main character, Brooke, seemed to ignore EVERY red flag and seemed very easily manipulated. It was unbelievable some of the things she overlooked. I thought the book was going to be predictable, but my prediction ended up being wrong! He very short epilogue was also a great addition to this book and really wrapped everything up for me. I read this one in about 7 hours.
