Silent Reading 默读 by priest

Why did I, a person who reads books in max 3-5 days, took so long to read this book? Well, for starters, I made the (maybe) dumb decision of starting it when I got really busy in my personal life. However, I've been really curious about this one for a long time and it was just too tempting not to start it and...it did not disappoint in the slightest.
Now, I love Priest, her books are amazing, her talent is undeniable. And she also knows we're starving so she gives us little moments here and there with our main couples so it's not too plot-heavy. Why isn't it a 5* read for me? Cause it's more of a 4.5* leaning towards 5. Simple: because of the amount of characters oh my god. I had trouble remembering all the names, much less who they were and what they've done, and the fact that it took me this long to finish it didn't help.
I loved the dynamic between Luo Wenzhou and Fei Du, they were amazing for each other and the way they understood how the other was thinking and could work so well together was amazing to read. And the secondary characters were also amazing and well written.

Overall, I really loved this book and I might reread it at some point to fully understand what was happening.
