“But the problem with hope was also what made it so wonderful. Once a bit of hope had come to life, it was difficult to kill.”

The arch has been opened, the Valors are free and Evangeline has lost her memories. Without her memories, she’s bound to believe everything Apollo says. Apollo sees this as a second chance to do better. Her heart tries to warn her, but she doesn’t know any better. See, always listen to your heart! Jacks is convinced that she lost her memories because he used the stones to travel back in time. He wants to let her live in peace but his love for her keeps him close.

Evangeline getting her memories back was expected, but it somehow felt a little anticlimactic. Also, I hated Aurora and Apollo. They are horrible. Glad to see that Apollo at least got a fitting end. And what’s up with LaLa?
She finally gets to the love of her life, but then decides not to pursue it? Weird, especially when she put a curse on Evangeline and Apollo as motivation to open the Valory arch.

Overall, an OK read but it did miss coherence and I still had a lot of questions about this magical world which were left unanswered. The focus is more on the romantic side of the story instead of the magical side of the story.
