The beginning of the book was interesting and felt fast-paced, but I started to lose interest halfway through the book. It is most likely due to personal preferences, but at a certain point in the book everything felt very repetitive and the ending felt rushed. Also, the weird incestuous relationship between Hannibal and Lady Murasaki just made it hard to get through certain parts of the book.
