The Fall of Shane MacKade by Nora Roberts

4.0

THE FALL OF SHANE MACKADE is the last book in the series and centers on the charming and devilish Shane, the youngest MacKade brother. He's playful, earthy, and devoted to his farm and the last thing he wants is to end up in a serious relationship. I loved watching Shane fall because he just doesn't know what hit him when it comes to Rebecca. She's spunky, super intelligent, and doesn't seem to be falling for his charms. It was so great watching these two circle each other while refusing to admit their feelings. I particularly loved Rebecca's mix of awkward nerd and outspoken woman; she's completely turned her life around and is determined to do things that she enjoys instead of always doing what her parents expected of her. Shane and Rebecca seem like an odd pairing on the outside but they really come to understand each other and work as a couple.
