This is a wonderful book. I reread it every few months because it was one of those books that got me through the tough times in life. I recommend it for anyone who has ever developed social anxiety because of a traumatic experience. I don't think any character has ever really had as similar of an inner monologue to me as the main character.

Word of caution though: If you like the book, don't watch the movie. Actually, just don't watch the movie even if you haven't read the book. The movie just doesn't have that inner monologue and Kirsten Stewart's acting talent is just horrid. At first, I thought I could see the similarities between her character and the book version, but I just couldn't.
