Every time I read something as well written as this, it's like a brain caress. This reading was full of incredible phrases that talk about prejudice, I don't think I have ever highlighted something like I did with this book. What we can appreciate most from this work is all that struggle with labels and that nothing is black or white, there are shades, there are grays, and that our destiny is not written in stone. That no one can point at us at birth and tell us just by looking at us: president, lawyer, salesman. That we can always get out and leave or burst the bubble they put around us or the one we put around ourselves.

I was deeply touched by this read, although I was assured that I was going to cry, and I didn't, I was quite moved by it. It's a delightful plot that delves into what goes on in the heads of each of these kids who are outcasts because of who they are, what people see, and who they want to be. Chauncey wants to be a bellhop, but was always told he should be the monster under the bed. Lucy is the antichrist, but he is fun and loves music classics, vinyl records and playing them on his jukebox while facing the demons in his mind that constantly remind him that he has come to destroy the world.
