I listened to this on audio and really enjoyed having JoJo as the narrator. During moments of her reflecting on periods of loss, you could hear the emotional tugs in her voice.
I’m by no means the world’s biggest JoJo fan but have always been a casual listener. I knew some pieces of her record label legal battles so I was excited to learn more. I learned so much about JoJo’s early childhood — and honestly found the first half of the book to be the most interesting — and felt her record label legal issues weren’t expanded on as much as I hoped.
Overall I still really enjoyed this and got an insightful view into her family life, early career, musical trajectory, and where she wants to go from here in her career. Still a fan!
