The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows, Mary Ann Shaffer
5.0
After reading this book, I realized what mixed reviews it's gotten here on Goodreads.
Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, the epistolary style made it more interesting. Instead of just laying out the story from beginning to end, you kind of get a feel for what happened as the book progresses. I also thought it was really interesting because I didn't know the Germans had occupied Guernsey, and though this is a work of fiction, it gives an idea of what that might've been like. I definitely recommend this as a quick, interesting read.
