I wanted to read this book because I thought it would help one get through grief, luckily it was gifted to me. Though The title felt misleading "as I thought it was a self help book" the book felt more of a memoir because it portrait around chimamanda's father. How wonderful of a man he was to his family his accomplishments, and how loved  he was by the family.
Chimamanda express her grief through the book over the sudden death of her father, how she struggled to overcome grief.

I couldn't help but remember how I felt, when my friend sudden died I was so shocked I refused to believe it because I had met with him just a day before he died. The writing style and how chimamanda told the story was absolutely beautiful, and am so glad I read it.

PS: I recommend if you want to just have a short quick read.

NOTE: not a self-help book
