This was…. Really something. It started off pretty good. It’s a dark romance, so I was expecting dark elements. I’d say u started to raise some eyebrows at like 55-60% in. The MMC just went off the absolute rails. This started to feel more like a thriller than a romance lol. I truly thought dude was gonna kill Monroe, whole “if I can’t have you, no one can” but then he locks her up? Chains her to the bed? Evicts her from her house? Gets her fired? Birth control implant is actually a locator? Like Jesus Christ, I can read a dark romance, but this was a tad *much* in a bad direction. Stalker tendencies, fine, I love it. Some break-and-entering? Sure, no problem. Even some cnc or Somnophilia vibes, fun! But CHRIST, this was like the tv show You had a baby with a hockey player. The FMC just traumatized and has a bad case of Stockholm syndrome
