Veil of Night by Linda Howard
4.0
3.5/5
Really liked this one. Just wished there was less of the whole detail about all the heroine's weddings and more of the suspense and interaction between Eric and Jaclyn.
No surprises with the killer, which was a shame, because the set up was such that there were many potential suspects so I had fun guessing.
I was hoping for a little more with the romance. Jaclyn jumped from dreaming about Eric to pissed off to scared. I would've been mad along with her, but she never quite seemed to hold on to that anger or even rattle Eric. I was hoping for more confrontations because the sexual tension between them was sizzling, but it never really happened. Still,Veil of Night had its moments, and I'm a sucker for the hot cop hero. ;)
