Pet Sematary by Stephen King

4.0

This book is more than a horror, it is creepy, freaky, intense which will guarantee you a nightmare.
The story is about a perfect family of 4, Louis, Rachel and their kids Eileen and Gage. The introduction of the family seems so perfect and cute but as the story unfolds the subject of death arises in the story and the whole horror creeps into the story. It’s not some jumpscare horror it is something that will build slowly and slowly inside you and will eat you up entirely at the end. The whole book is centered around the fear of death, idea of death and loss of someone important in their life. The grief is shown so vividly by stephen’s writing that the reader will understand it and will think the same solution to overcome the grief.
Stephen plays with human nature and their coping mechanism in this book and the story was one of the scariest. Also the ending god... i was hoping or wishing till the end of story that the whole half of the book was just a nightmare of the character.
If you haven’t read it already.. please do.
