Stay Sexy & Don't Get Murdered: The Definitive How-To Guide by Georgia Hardstark, Karen Kilgariff
5.0
LOVED listening to this audiobook, read by the authors (and also Paul Giamatti! Fantastic surprise!)
1) You probably will not be as entranced and entertained if you’re not a fan of the podcast. There are inside jokes and references back…go check out the podcast (if you’re into true crime), and then come back to the book.
2) Very little true crime is discussed, as this is more of a memoir. Hence why it helps to know the authors already before reading this.
3) No, not every life lesson and piece of advice is going to be for you, nor will they all resonate with you. It’s a memoir, disguised as an advice book, the concept of which is pretty tongue-in-cheek, but you can still learn from it and gain respect for their perspective. It’s about the authors and what they have learned over the years.
The biggest point is that Karen and Georgia are (and have always been) incredibly vulnerable, honest and transparent, totally relatable, and completely hilarious.
