This book starts off as a fantasy plus an arranged marriage romance HOWEVER it is not that, and I learned pretty quickly. I did really like the fantasy world that this took place in -- the kingdom and culture felt very colorful and I really loved our main heroine!! This book actually turns into an almost Mulan inspired story where our MC Saraya must train at an all male fae warrior academy.
I also really loved the midwife aspects of this book. I think sometimes having children/pregnancy is overlooked in fantasy books so it was pretty cool to have it be a major plot point here.
