SYNOPSIS
-Lo Blacklock, now a mom of two and living in NYC, gets invited to Switzerland for the grand opening of a luxury hotel on Lake Geneva.
-It’s a work trip meant to relaunch her journalism career after years off post-pandemic and post-kids.
-The hotel is owned by Marcus Leidmann, a mysterious billionaire who’s tough to track down.
-One night, Lo is summoned to his suite, but instead of Marcus, she finds a woman who says she’s in danger and needs Lo’s help.
-From there, Lo gets pulled into a twisty, cross-country chase.

MY THOUGHTS
-I usually love Ruth Ware, so I was excited for this.
-That said… I’m not totally sure The Woman in Cabin 10 needed a sequel.
-It’s been ten years since the first book came out, and this felt more like a slow mystery catching up with old characters than a truly fresh thriller. Kind of feels like a cash grab.
-Nothing super high-stakes or shocking happens.
-It reads more like “What ever happened to Lo Blacklock?” than a full-on suspense novel.
-A decent mystery, but if you’re expecting Cabin 10 vibes, just adjust your expectations.
⸻
TL;DR: ⭐️⭐️⭐️A low-key mystery that checks back in on Lo Blacklock ten years later. If you loved The Woman in Cabin 10, this might scratch a nostalgic itch, but it doesn’t bring much new to the table. Enjoyable enough, but not especially memorable.
