I Found You by Lisa Jewell

5.0

I borrowed this from a friend while waiting for my preorder of The Night She Disappeared to arrive. This is my eighth Lisa Jewell book and I loved it from start to finish (I devoured it in two days)

Firstly, I love the main character’s name being Alice Lake, as there is a lake by the same name five minutes from my house. The story begins with Alice, who lives in a little beach cottage, looking out her window towards the sea and noticing a lone man sitting on the sand, he’s been there all day. The man has no memory of who he is, where he came from.

The story builds going between the present day and twenty years ago. I love the tension, the mystery & suspense of Lisa’s writing style. This was truly a page-turner for me. Can’t wait to read her latest when it arrives!
